Twitter no more, Real Scientists Nano moves to Bluesky

If you’ve been following Under the Microscope podcast since its inception six years ago, you’re probably familiar with Real Scientists Nano, a rotation curation account that featured a new materials and nanoscientist each week. This account was an essential part of our mission to highlight groundbreaking research in the fields of materials and nanoscience on platforms like Twitter (now known as X).
We’re thrilled to announce that Real Scientists Nano is transitioning from Twitter/X to Bluesky. The account will now align with our podcast and be named Under the Microscope. This move ensures that both the podcast and the rotation curation account are unified under one brand, making it easier for you to stay connected with the latest insights in materials and nanoscience.

Why the Move to Bluesky?

As many of you know, the rotation curation format originated with Real Scientists on Twitter. Following its success, we created Real Scientists Nano, focusing on materials and nanoscience. Over the years, we’ve had the honor of featuring over 120 scientists from around the world as curators on Twitter and guests on our podcast.
Now, with changes on the Twitter/X platform, we believe that Bluesky provides a fresh opportunity to continue our mission of engaging science communication. We’re excited to continue the rotation curation concept under our new Bluesky handle: Under the Microscope.

What’s Changing?

Other than the name and the platform, not much! Our team remains the same, as does our commitment to bringing you diverse voices from the world of materials and nanoscience. Each week, you’ll still have access to content from an amazing curator on Bluesky, just like you did on Twitter/X.
We invite you to follow the Under the Microscope BlueSky account.

Looking Ahead

The Under the Microscope podcast has grown tremendously, and this change is an exciting step in our journey. We’re beyond grateful for the support from our audience over the past six years, and we hope you’ll continue this journey with us on BlueSky. Together, let’s discover the fascinating world of materials and nanoscience.
Thank you for being part of this incredible community!
